BS People: K V Gopalakrishnan
Percussionist leads Intelliverse

In a career spanning over close to three decades, KV Gopalakrishnan, the newly-appointed CEO of Intelliverse Telecom India has donned many roles. An award-winning mridangam player, KVG as he is known in close circle, was associated with a number of companies including BhartiAirtel, ACS India, Karuturi Telecom. This includes roles such as technical consultant, sales, procurement, and IT infrastructure and project management, M&As, joint ventures and even financing.

In his newest role, Gopalakrishnan will be instrumental in shaping the strategic direction of Intelliverse Telecom in India. Intelliverse, a US-based provider of cloud solutions since 1984, is a portfolio company of Texas,

US-based investment company Amvensys Capital Group, LLC (ACG).

Gopalakrishnan started his career as a marketing executive with Steel Age Industries in 1983, and then moved on to join Remington Rand of India as a sales executive after three years. He quickly rose up the ranks, and in 1998 joined Bharti BT Internet as regional manager, and then as region head of Bharti Broadband Networks. At Karuturi Telecom, where he was the COO, GVK was also handling an additional portfolio of Head of procurement and project management.
