TCS to be IT partner of Europcar in France

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India largest IT services provider today announced the signing of a multi-year, multi-million euro contract with Europcar, the car rental leader in Europe. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Europcar Information Services (EIS), the company’s IT subsidiary, selected TCS to manage strategic IT Services development for its French operations.

“The objective of the partnership is to continue to improve our structured and standardised development process across Europcar,” said Pascal Vallerent, Skill Center Director from Europcar Information Services.
 
“This partnership with Europcar  is part of the development of a strategic relationship with industry leading companies in France. It reiterates TCS’ strategic commitment to the region and our ability to create operating models specific to the unique needs of our French clients,” said Kumar Narayanan, Director & Country Head, TCS France.
 
This announcement marks further expansion into Europe for TCS’ Travel, Transport and Hospitality (TTH) Industry Solution Unit. Comprising over 4,000 consultants the unit works with more than 50 customers worldwide.
 
TCS has operated in France since 1992, with offices in Paris - La Défense and in Toulouse. The unit comprises over 1,000 professionals based both in France and at the company’s delivery centers worldwide.
